We bought a Whilrpool Model ET22RK-ET22RM in 2000 from a local furniture store because of the size and Whirlpool reputation. Beginning about 3-4 years ago, each year and now more often, we have had to replace the defrost time in this unit. We have to rely on the service personnel to tell us the truth, however, according to other websites, this seems to be a common problem. I would like to buy a new, large fridge without these problems. We have 5 people in our house and have to buy 3-4 gallons of milk each week. We like a "regular" door configuration rather than a side-by-side. Any suggestions? We need one that is more for the money. Thanks!
